Archbishop Sean O'Malley closed Our Lady Help of Christians Parish on October 25, 2004 as part of the reconfiguration of the Archdiocese of Boston. St. Bernard Parish in Concord was also closed and a new parish, Holy Family Parish, has been established at the site of St. Bernard Church.

Mementos of OLHC including splinters from the cross that hung above the altar, scrolls with the names of all who were buried from OLHC since 1907, coins depicting Our Lady Help of Christians and The Holy Family, and pictures of the Church are available to anyone who would like to have them.
