Mission Statement

Our Lady Help of Christians is a vibrant community of approximately 1,000 families. A cross section of society, our population includes longtime residents, newcomers, young families, and seniors, with a diversity of income, ethnic backgrounds, and occupations.

Joined by common faith and nourished in worship by Word and Sacraments, we share responsibility in the creation, development and leadership of parish programs for spiritual and educational growth, and social outreach to all ages. We invite active personal participation and commitment from all parishioners. We look beyond parish boundaries and face the changes taking place in our church and our society, turning to other parishes for collaboration and shared resources. We encourage a spirit of welcoming and a sense of belonging to an extended family reaching out to inactive Catholics, to people seeking faith, and to those in need at home, in the local prisons, and in the Greater Boston area.

Guided by the Holy Spirit and with Our Lady's intercession, we wish to reflect the saving light of Christ in prayer and action as members of His Universal Church.
